My Background

My name is Andrew Rohr and I received my Master of Science Information Sciences (MSIS--Librarianship) from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), accredited by the American Library Association (ALA). At UTK, I studied Digital Curation, Digital Humanities, Knowledge Organization, Management of Information Organizations, and Information Technology Foundations. During my studies, I realized that the training and insight librarians receive are vastly under-utilized.

The Gap I Discovered

As both an undergraduate student and librarian-in-training, I noticed this critical gap: knowledge is missed because students only ask about what they already know, not about what they haven't discovered. My experience troubleshooting in supply-chain companies, combined with my passion for lifelong learning, showed me how valuable this untapped knowledge could be.
